KSB has announced that the ITUR product line<\/strong> is no longer part of its current commercial catalogue. For customers in the naval and industrial sectors in the Canary Islands who have relied on ITUR pumps for decades \u2014 and on Comercial Naval Canaria as an authorised distributor \u2014 this change requires clear planning: what it means for existing installations, which alternatives KSB offers and how to ensure operational continuity.<\/p>\n

A legacy of more than a century in pumping<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bombas ITUR was founded in 1920 in Zarautz (Gipuzkoa) as a national benchmark in pump and pumping equipment manufacturing. In 2003, the brand became part of the German KSB<\/strong> group, one of the world’s largest pump technology manufacturers. Comercial Naval Canaria began distributing Bombas ITUR in the Canary Islands for the naval sector in 1988, supporting since then the evolution of the factory, technical training and commissioning of equipment on vessels and industrial installations across the archipelago.<\/p>\n

For more than three decades, ITUR series \u2014 from self-priming AU \/ ETAPRIME<\/strong> pumps to general service equipment such as the IRVS<\/strong>, ILN<\/strong> and IN<\/strong> series \u2014 have been a common solution on decks, engine rooms, bait tanks, bilge systems and seawater or freshwater circuits on board.<\/p>\n

What does ITUR leaving the KSB catalogue mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Discontinuing ITUR as a commercial line does not mean installed pumps stop working immediately. It does mean, however, that KSB no longer sells new equipment under the ITUR designation<\/strong> and that the manufacturer’s strategy focuses on its current ranges of centrifugal, self-priming and process pumps under the KSB brand.<\/p>\n
